This technology is a self-tuning circuit that automatically stabilizes the feedback control loop inside DC-DC power converters — the building blocks that regulate voltage in everything from laptops to electric vehicles. Traditional designs require engineers to manually calculate and set a compensation ramp waveform, and that setting degrades as operating conditions change. This invention monitors the actual current waveform inside the converter in real time, differentiates it to extract slope information, and uses that to continuously adjust the ramp to maintain a mathematically optimal stability margin regardless of changes in duty cycle, component drift, or circuit topology. The result is a more robust, higher-bandwidth power supply that works reliably across a wider range of conditions without manual retuning.
