Anonymous group signature library with scalable member

CybersecurityComputing, Software & AICommunications & RFLab validated

This technology provides a way to verify whether a member of a group has been kicked out (revoked) while still keeping their identity anonymous. It works by encoding each user's anonymous token into a series of coded segments derived from orthogonal codes, then building a single shared 'revocation list' that combines all removed users' codes. When a message arrives with an anonymous signature, the system cross-correlates segments of the sender's code against the revocation list over multiple iterations to probabilistically determine whether that user has been revoked — without ever revealing who the user is. The probabilistic approach trades a small, controllable error rate for significant efficiency gains when managing large revocation lists.

What you could build

A cryptographic middleware library or SDK for privacy-preserving identity platforms — such as anonymous credential systems, blockchain-based voting, or enterprise zero-trust access control — where administrators need to revoke users without deanonymizing them. Enterprise security vendors, digital identity platform providers, and government PKI programs would be the buyers.

Who in Virginia should care

Northern Virginia's dense concentration of federal contractors, defense agencies (NSA, DHS, DoD), and cloud/identity security firms (Booz Allen, Leidos, AWS GovCloud) makes this directly relevant to privacy-preserving credentialing and zero-trust identity work.

Readiness: Lab validated

Concept — described but not yet demonstrated. Lab validated — supported by experimental results in the patent. Prototype likely — the text describes a built, working embodiment.

Readiness is inferred from the patent text, not from a lab visit.
