This technology is a software-based planning system that calculates the three-dimensional zone of tissue that will be affected when electrical energy is delivered through multiple electrodes during a medical procedure — such as irreversible electroporation (IRE) used in tumor ablation. It works by comparing the electrical conductivity of the target tissue during treatment against a baseline measurement, then uses that ratio in a numerical model to generate a visual map of the treatment volume on a display. The clinician sees, before or during the procedure, a predictive 3D shape showing how far the energy will penetrate and destroy tissue. This removes much of the guesswork in electrode placement and helps avoid under-treating tumors or damaging surrounding healthy structures.
